God’s Gift

We would like to share something with you that has radically changed the lives of many here at Faith.  God cares for you.  In His Son, Jesus Christ, you can have a personal relationship with Him, find forgiveness of sin, purpose for living, and eternal life.  We want to share with you a wonderful gift–the Good News! You can know that you are going to Heaven!

First, You must accept the fact that you are a sinner. Because God made us and is our Ruler, He has rightfully demanded that we love and honor Him above anyone or anything else. But instead of joyfully obeying, we have disobeyed God every day since birth by pursuing empty pleasures and selfish goals.  Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”  Romans 3:10 adds, “As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.” We are all guilty sinners.  None of us have lived up to God’s perfect, righteous standard.

Second, You must accept the fact that as a sinner, there  is a price to pay for your sin, which is death. (Romans 6:23), “For the wages of sin is death…” (Ezekiel 18:4), The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Death is described in the Bible as separation.  The soul that sins is separated from God for all eternity in the Lake of fire.  We need to be healed, and the Good News is that Jesus came to heal sick, disobedient people.

Third, You must accept the fact that Jesus Christ has  already paid for your sin. (Romans 5:6), “… Christ died for the ungodly.” (Heb. 2:9), “…that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man.” Christ never sinned, and thus was able to bear our sin on His own body on the cross.  He shed His blood and died for our sin, taking the judgment that we deserved.  Jesus did not die on the cross because He was wrongly accused and hated by others; Jesus died on purpose to rescue sinners from the wrath of God.  Jesus took our place and absorbed God’s righteous wrath. Jesus received the punishment we deserved in order to heal our sick, disobedient hearts and to turn God’s wrath to favor.

Fourth, You must accept by faith what Jesus Christ did for you. (Romans 10:9), “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus  and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”  (John 3:16), “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.” The moment you trust Christ to forgive you of your sin, He washes your sin away with His blood, and gives unto you eternal life!  It is our prayer that you will come to know Christ as your personal Savior, and then live for His glory!
